For sale as a pair are two (2) vintage French folk art pottery ceramic bowls from Poterie Fait Main, made by Henri Siegfried in Soufflenheim France. They aren't dated. The bowls (or wall hangings) measure 11.75" wide by approximately 2.5" tall. They have holes for the wire but no wire for wall-hanging. While they are not like-new, they still look great. Each has several small chips in the enamel around the rim, but that's about as bad as condition issues get. There's a lot of crazing, but IMO it makes the pieces look more attractive and gives a patina. They do show their age, and some general signs of wear. Please see the photos.

Bowls like this are regarded as folk art, and their patterns don't always look super-neat and uniform. I would say that these bowls are definitely very handmade-looking. Some parts of these bowls have been painted with more attention than other parts. They are very glossy, heavy bowls. Each bowl weighs about three pounds. These items will be packaged with care and will ship from Texas.

This listing is for two bowls.
