They were such "shutdown" pitchers that a Boston Herald sportswriter penned a poem line that became a catch phrase for the 1948 World Series..."Spahn & Sain and Pray for Rain!"

This official National League Baseball was co-signed by this famous set of pitchers...Major League Baseball Hall of Famer Warren Spahn and his teammate Johnny Sain. What makes this ball so rare is that Johnny Sain included their famous catchphrase "Pray for Rain" in his own handwriting while signing the ball.

Both autographs and this official National League baseball are in excellent condition with no fading or discoloration. The ball is encased in an acrylic baseball cube that is in fair condition and has done a great job protecting the ball.
