Stunning vintage 1940’s dress in black moss crepe material with gorgeous beaded neckline detailing with red stones surrounded by gold rings and grey and red bugle beads.

Puffed shoulder seams with internal shoulder pads to create high stand shape. Cuffs are hand smocked and fasten with a snap fastener at the back to keep the cuff tight to the arm.

Smocking stitching at the waist creates a gathered look. Thin covered belt at the waist.

Has a short zip at the back of the neck as well as a side zip. Skirt section is pleated from the hip to create a flared midi length dress.

In very good vintage condition although there is a graze on the front which looks like it has been caused by the belt buckle. This is hidden under the belt when worn. Missing one red bead and half of a gold ring on one surround. Overall for a dress that is 80 years old it’s in exceptionally good condition.

Please note that this dress is very small - estimated UK size 4
