This vintage weathervane is not made of cast iron but some other metal, perhaps zinc or aluminum- a magnet does not stick to it. It was probably made in the 1950s to replicate a cast iron set, and each piece resembles an antique design. Of course, if it was made in the 1950s, it is an antique.

The measurements are: the arrow is 22.5" long x 4.5" wide with a 1/2" hole in the center for mounting; the letters are 8" x 3 3/8"; the horse is 14" long x 9" tall x 1/4" thick and the mount is 20.5" tall x 7.5" wide. Together they weigh 3 pounds 6 ounces.

None of the screws will turn. The top of the mount is broken (photo #13) and for photography purposes, I taped it together. It can probably be soldered. The N and W letters are missing and all patina is original.

Shipping via USPS ground in a 24x9x7 box at 4 pounds 8 ounces.
