Katsushika Hokusai's (Japanese, 1760–1849) Under the Wave off Kanagawa, also known as The Great Wave (ca. 1830–32), features on Timex's T80 design. This world-famous woodblock print from Hokusai's beloved series Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji depicts a colossal wave framing a comparatively small Mount Fuji in the background; a tribute to the awesome power of nature.
