Mastering the Art of French Cooking by Julia Child, Simone Beck and Louisette Berthole

Overall Condition: VERY GOOD

Published in 1963 by Alfred A. Knopf. First edition, fourth printing as stated on copyright page. Illustrated by Sidonie Coryn. Bound in the iconic original fleur-de-lis decorated cloth covers and original dust jacket. Quarto, 10.25” x 7.25”, 684 pages plus index.

The book is in VERY GOOD condition. Square spine with firm hinges and joints. Rubbing to spine tips, sharp corners, several spots of soiling on toned edges, sunning to head and tail of book. Clean interior pages. No writing, ex libris marks, foxing, stamps or stickers. Text block is slightly age toned. A nice copy!

The dust jacket is in VERY GOOD condition - sun-darkened spine, top of jacket and front of flap closest to spine, edge wear light chipping, a few small tears along spine, crinkling and a few small creases. Some offsetting from book to inner jacket.

Overall, a VERY GOOD copy of a first edition, fourth printing in nice collectible condition! Much better than the average copy listed for sale!
