Up for sale, a 1960 Gibson Les Paul Junior in excellent condition and in perfect working order, complete with a vintage hardshell case. One of the last Juniors offered before being supplanted by the SG body shape, this vintage Gibson features a Honduran mahogany body and neck capped by a Brazilian rosewood fingerboard, delivering an acoustic voice that is authoritative and lively. The neck profile carve is the slender, fast-feeling shape consistent with the 1960 model year, and the P-90 meters at 7.6k ohms.

Via the dogear P-90 pickup, this Gibson truly delivers on the brand's golden era reputation, with rich harmonic content, and a touch-sensitive, midrange-forward growl. This instrument feels substantial when digging in hard, with a distinctive glassy top end due in part to the lightweight aluminum wraparound tailpiece. For sweet P-90 single coil tone that can range from chiming cleans to roaring, all out raucousness through a tube amp of choice, this guitar has a versatility and tonal depth that belies its simple appointments. Weighing 7bs 2oz, this Les Paul Junior has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with 10-46 strings, low action and accurate intonation.

There is a professionally-addressed headstock repair, oversprayed decades ago across the repair and extending to the headstock face. Additionally, the Gibson logo and Les Paul decal are later substitutions.

The gloss nitro lacquer Cherry finish is more saturated on the back of the instrument, with subtle, tight lacquer checking. Cosmetic wear includes a number of minor dings and small chips on the body as a whole, largely concentrated along the perimeter, and buckle rash central to the back. The neck retains its gloss finish, with a handful of shallow marks extending the length of the profile.

A ‘70s Gibson black tolex hardshell case with purple plush interior is included, with a clean silver Gibson silkscreen logo on the lid, all original latches functional, and the original handle intact.
