The vintage Marantz 4270 (1st release in 1976) is a high quality stereo (2-channel) and switchable quadradial (4-channel) AM/FM receiver.
This particular vintage Marantz 4270 model has been considered as a great sleeper by many Audiophiles. 4270 model has great power output, sweeter sound, more features than popular $2,000+ Marantz 2270 (1st release in 1972).
The unit incorporates Marantz's exclusive Vari-matrix circuit which simulates 4-channel sound from normal 2-channel stereo programs, and is capable of reproducing 4-channel sound from any matrix encoded source.
The unit is used in good working condition. The unit has been fully
tested by a technician before anti-tamper stickers were placed. Serial
number also has been recorded.

internal electronics circuit is in original condition. No signs of previous repair or modification.

The wooden case over metal chassis is original design of this model. No 2nd metal case under wooden case. If you want to convert wooden case to metal case, you have to buy after market or used metal case out there.
All dials and RCA inputs/outputs have been de-oxided and tested for good contact.
Sound is clear, warm and sharp on both speaker outputs and headphones.
