X10 PRO PLC01 POWER LINE COMMAND REPEATER
The X10 PRO PLC01 Power Line Command Repeater is an inexpensive plug in solution to increase the reliability of your X10 plug-in and wired-in products such as plug-in lamp
and appliance modules, wired-in wall switches, and plug-in controllers,
by re-transmitting their X10 Power Line Command signals.The lighting, appliances and other devices we use in almost every home can create a lot of electrical feedback or Line Noise on your house wiring. This makes it difficult for the X10 signal (which uses that same house wiring to communicate with other X10 devices) to reach throughout your home. Occasionally, there can be so much noise that it can weaken the X10 line signal to the point that it cannot be received by the modules or switches throughout your house.
Sometimes it can be very hard to track down what exactly is causing the noise. If you are experiencing intermittent operation of your system due to line noise, the PLC01 plug in repeater may help your problem.
It is ultra simple to install. Simply plug it in and enjoy your hassle free Home Automation! The unit is small and can plug into any outlet. It also has a pass through outlet so you are not wasting an outlet having it plugged in! Try moving it around from outlet to outlet until you find the optimal placement to beat the line noise.

Please note that the PLC01 Does NOT repeat wireless signals from X10 wireless remotes or motion sensors, only signals sent on the power lines by X10 plug in controllers.

Place the PLC Repeater somewhere centrally located between the PLC transmitting module (transceiver, plug-in controller, etc.) and the PLC receiving units
(Lamp/Appliance module, Wall Switch module, etc.).
In some instances you may need to experiment with the location, especially if using the
repeater to overcome line noise interference in particularly noisy environments.
Note: The outlet at the bottom of the repeater is pass-thru only (ALWAYS LIVE) and is not X10 controllable.
