Here we have a spectacular, original and probably homemade maxi prom/ party dress. Would look great over a matching slip and long crinoline petticoat.

Period: 1950s/60s

Style: maxi, soft sweetheart neckline to a fitted bodice, side zip fastening, very full (tried to show this on the last photo) unlined skirt, short sleeves

Colour: a lovely synthetic sheer fabric in a rich turquoise blue with all over flocked tiny white polka dots.

Approximate size: 10-12

Pinned on mannequin? yes

Measurements:

Bust: c38"

Waist: c28"

Hips: free

Length: 54.5"

Condition: very good vintage. One small hole below the waist to the left- only just notice this, so very hard to spot.

I am by no means a vintage clothing expert- I just love them :) I will describe items as best I can and show any faults found in photos. I can’t accept returns unless I’ve accidentally mis-sold an item, so please do check the measurements carefully. They’re all taken with the garment flat and then doubled. Please also be aware that I do have pets in my house, though we are not smokers.

Any questions, please ask. Happy to provide more photos or measurements if required. Collection from Stroud, Gloucestershire is possible if preferred, but also happy to post this item.  I’ll always combine postage if multiple items are purchased and will always refund any excess postage paid.

Please do check out my other items. I’m a teensy bit of a hoarder and am having a massive, long overdue clear out of my wardrobes, attics and sheds :)
