This rare pair of antique cast iron Hall tree umbrella drip pans, one is marked A. Atherton & Co and the other is marked with the number 5, (I have circled it in a picture). I have also taken pictures with the tape measure so you can see the different measurements. But these do stand approximately 2” tall

I have tried to research A. Atherton & Co on the Internet and I come up with they were in Wolverhampton England in the 1820s-1840s. These drip pans have a scalloped edge on the top, and a layered outer edge that gets larger as you go towards the bottom. On the backside of both, there is a casting line that does not go through the entire piece. There are also three what I would call feet. There is surface rust, but no rust has penetrated and an overall very good condition.

These are coming off an antique hall tree that I have owned for many years. The Hall tree is in such disrepair that I also pulled the double hooks - copper flashed Japanned - off a those are listed separately, they are possibly the same manufacturer.
