PLEASE SCROLL DOWN FOR FURTHER IMAGES

Meccano Magazine was a classic magazine for boys that ran for decades and covered not only Meccano model making but also had a wide variety of other non-fiction articles. Aside from Meccano-related articles, it also featured Hornby trains, Dinky Toys and other products made by Meccano, plus a wide variety of general interest articles, including engineering, aircraft, trains, modelling, camping, photography and philately. Additionally, the adverts are wonderful!

In this issue:
  • Cover Picture - On The Launching Slipway
  • The Helix - The tanker with an overside lift - Shell
  • My First Monte Carlo Rally by Stirling Moss - Sunbeam Talbot
  • Preparing for the Monte Carlo Rally by Ian Appleyard
  • The Monte Carlo in a Ford Anglia by Jack Reece - Peter Reece
  • The Story of the Monte by J Dewar McLintock
  • The USAF’s Trapeze Artists - Republic F-84F Thunderstreak
  • Swing Trains of the Northlands - Transport Hazards of the Arctic by Frank Illingworth
  • The Aero-Isoclinic Wing

The magazine measures 20.5 x 14 cm and has pages 1 - 52, plus additional advertising pages

Condition: Good vintage condition - there is evidence of light reading wear with some creasing to the covers and internal pages, a child’s name and date is both written and printed on the back cover - visible in the pictures below. The magazine pictured below is the one you will receive. Given that the magazine is celebrating its 70th birthday, its condition is very good, but certainly not perfect!

I accept returns, and if you'd like to see further pictures, or any questions - just ask!
