DESCRIPTION:  "R.E. GATEWOOD / REGISTERED / PHOEBUS, VA." Offered at auction is this rare Hutchinson soda bottle from Phoebus, Virginia! This bottle dates to the bustling days of nearby Fortress Monroe and the Hygeia Hotel. Heavy, straw green glass. Company name and location appears in a slug plate on one side of bottle. Embossed along heel "O.B. CO. 2A". Pewter stopper remains intact and in place. Measures 7" high with a diameter of 2-1/4". Underside is plain. We provided photos from both before and after a hand washing. We discovered this bottle in Phoebus, Virginia. A great addition to your vintage bottle collection!   

CONDITION DETAILS: NEAR MINT. They don't get much better than this bottle! Minimal surface wear. Light soiling inside bottle. No detracting scratches, cracks, chips or bruises.
