Franklin Mint Faberge Butterfly Egg Secret Garden.

This is a beautiful and rare Franklin Mint Fabergé Egg entitled "The Secret Garden". "It is an original design from the House of Faberge and is crafted of hand-painted Tesori porcelain--an artists blend of resins and powders noted for its ability to capture intricate detail--and is adorned with Swarovski crystals, hand-crafted silken flowers, and 24 karat gold." "The Secret Garden is a hand-cut openwork-styled egg and is hand-painted in a fanciful floral technique and adorned with silken bouquets of glorious hand-crafted peonies. Inside awaits a secret surprise--a fantastic butterfuly. Accented with crystals that glisten like dewdrops in the morning sun, the butterfly rests on a regal egg."

CONDITION: The egg sits on a bed of 24 karat gold leaves. There are five large leaves that can be manipulated. Please note on pictures 9 & 10 the imperfections on 2 of the 5 leaves. On the base of the leaves there is breakage in the welding due to manipulation of the legs. The breakage has oxidized black and is hardly noticeable with the intricate setting. The bottom is also supported by 3 legs. One of the legs is marked. I am not certain, but there might of been a 4th leg, but I cannot find any other pictures online verifying this and there doesn’t appear the be a rough break there. Please see pictures 11 & 12 as I took a close up of the area. The egg sits upright, but the base is precarious, a bit wobbly- it’s not going to tumble over every second but you have to manipulate the legs and be mindful of where you place it.

The egg has minor wear on Tesori Porcelain. No crystals missing, no chipping or cracks to the Tesori porcelain. There are manufacture mold lines on the bottom and top but they are not cracks. Please refer to pictures 18-20.

Pictures do not do justice, incredibly delicate and beautiful three-dimensional egg. The backside of the egg is as beautiful as the front. It is truly a beautiful work of art from the House of Fabergé and The Franklin Mint.
