This antique brass pill tin from the 1800s is a unique piece of engraved trench art with significant WW1 interest.….very unusual item.

The pill box was with a lot of WW1 items found many years ago inside an old bureau.

The silver French 5 centimes 1862 coin was found inside and the engraved details on the lid adds to its historic value.

The tin was probably manufactured in France during the 1800s. The I believe the item falls under the category of Trench Art as the crude etching was probably carried out in WW1 (1914-1918) by the mentioned name.

The tin is in good vintage condition and has a few minor scratches and dents, which adds to its character.

Its compact size makes it a wonderful addition to any collection.
