Very nice detailed 6” button hook in sterling silver.

Makers trademark is barely legible, might be R. Blackington & Co.

Also marked, “Sterling 925 Fine Pat’d Nov19 95

These button hooks were everyday items used to button up shoes and boots. They date back as far as the 17th century, but most of the ones we see in today’s collections are from 1860’s - 1930’s
