Method 2: Remove the 81# anti-theft cable of the 88-pin digital engine control computer (DME) and release it.
Method 3: Remove the 66# anti-theft cable of the 88-pin digital engine control computer (DME) of the 7 series 6-cylinder and 8-cylinder models of the BMW car.
2. If it is a BMW original remote control vehicle, simply press the UNLOCK door open button on the remote control or use the key to open the door from the driver's side to automatically unlock theft.
The reset procedure for the BMW anti-theft remote control is:
◆If the car uses a one-button and 3-button remote control, and the remote control fails due to battery failure, etc., you must perform the following reset procedure:
(1) Open the back cover of the remote control with a small cross screwdriver.
(2) Take out the small wafer behind.
(3) Find the remote receiver computer (usually located under the dashboard or below the left and right seats).
(4) Open the small cover on the remote receiver computer and put the wafer removed in step (2).
(5) If there is a RESET button on the receiver computer, press this button. If there is no RESET button, turn the ignition switch to the ON position (R or 15) and then return to the OFF position to complete the reset.

Two-button remote control (the buttons are UNLOCK and DOUBLELOCK):
(1) Close all doors and do not press the central locking.
(2) Turn the ignition switch to the ON position and return to the OFF position within 5 seconds.
(3) Press the UNLOCK/LOCK button and press the DOUBLELOCK button 3 times within 10 seconds.
(4) Release the UNLOCK/LOCK button, and the LED on the key will flash 10 times.
(5) Move the key remotely to the receiver (at the rear view mirror) and press the UNLOCK/LOCK button or the DOUBLELOCK button.
(6) At this time, the door lock will be automatically locked and opened again, indicating that the reset is completed.
(7) Repeat steps (3)~(6) to set other remote controllers, but it must be completed within 15 minutes, and up to 3 remote controllers can be reset at the same time.
◆ BMW car configuration is a three-button remote control, the anti-theft release program is:
(1) Close the door and do not press the central locking.
(2) Turn the ignition switch to the ON position and turn it back to the OFF position within 5 seconds.
(3) Press the down arrow on the key and press the LOCK button 3 times within 10 seconds.
(4) Release the down arrow key, the LED light will flash at this time, and the central control lock will automatically lock and then turn on, which means the setting is completed.
(5) Repeat steps (3)~(4) to set other remote controllers. Up to 3 remote controllers can be reset within 30s.
If the door or trunk was mechanically locked with a key before this time, the door or trunk must be opened with a key before the procedure can be reset.
