1998 TOPPS TEK DIFFRACTOR SALE

Up for bid is something you will likely never see again in a lifetime: a hoard of Topps Tek Diffractors coming available for sale. I like to invoke the phrase of "Like a Unicorn Jumping over a Rainbow". Photos below of some of the cards, but in the interest of time usually just taking the time to scan a portion of the total cards included. Also using a horrible flatbed scanner - in person these shine line crazy and are amazing! Inside a 9 pocket page on a flatbed scanner they do not look their best.

Here we have a lot of #65 Javy Lopez. These were amassed by a diligent collector over a period of 20 years. Here is your chance to get 50 (fifty!) all at once. Open to breaking up the lot for singles, offers considered and willing to work with payments over time. Pattern numbers include the following, using the syntax "Card Number - Pattern": 

By way of background: 1998 Topps Tek had 90 different patterns of each card, resulting in a 90 card set of each player. A diffractor parallel was made that resembled the 1998 Bowman's Best Atomic Refractor. The print run for each pattern was not announced but I believe ranges from as few as 2-5 for some patterns, 10 per pattern on average, and more like 15-20 per pattern for some. No pattern #49 was made, leaving a complete diffractor set at 89 cards. No detailed print run data was ever released, and to this day no one has ever complete a single player set. I am presently breaking up a 50% complete, nearly 4,000 unique Diffractor collection that was patiently accumulated over a period of 20 years. This is your only chance to get a lot like this of your player - these cards are intensely rare and simply never come available. Further - many collectors never really tried for the diffractor set, thinking such a feat impossible. However with these lots many players are at 40 and even 50+ unique patterns! Putting the buyer at or beyond 50% complete just with a single purchase. There is hope! 

For the Base Tek set collectors: I am breaking up a complete 8,100 card master set as well. Feel free to inquire. I have approx 6,000 unique cards remaining and around 5,000 duplicates. You will not find anywhere else that gives you a better chance at completing your set!
