This beautiful handmade and haind painted piece was likely done in the 1980's. It was made in Japan and originally sold by the retailer Shirokiya. It has a seal stamp and Google translate shows: "Tea of twins," "Forgot," "Double Water," "Madi," "Shuangtiao raw tea."

A River with what looks like a very old Plum Tree, with mountains in the background. Incredible naturally occurring patina, with a shimmering gold and muted Blue, Gray, Green and Brown colors. Approximate measurements: 72 1/2" Width x 35 1/2" Height. This could be displayed in multiple ways. Could be hung on the wall or used as a divider in a practical way. Adds a layer of interest in decorating! PLEASE SEE ALL PHOTOS AND ZOOM IN, as this is older and does have some signs of age in a few places. I would call it a beautiful distressed finish with a vintage patina. There is a tear at very bottom left panel, and a couple of small holes near the Calligraphy (top left panel). A small stain on another panel. Please ask questions prior to purchase if there is anything you are not sure about so I can quickly provide you with further clarification. WILL REQUIRE SIGNATURE AND BUYER RESPONSIBLE TO PAY ANY RETURN SHIPPING COSTS. Thank you for looking at this special piece!
