Rare STUNNING Antique hand engraved C1880 Sterling Silver Dip Pen / Pencil Combination. Manufactured by E . B Edward baker. Also marked 925 so it’s my guess it was destined for the American market. A beautiful black stone finial which hides a hidden lead store. It also has a vacant cartouche so could be engraved and personalised if you wish.

Museum quality

An excellent highest quality silver mechanical dip pen / pencil with a propelling pencil functional design. I have included spare new old stock nibs and lots of fitted 1.5 mm lead to keep you going.

This is a finest example in perfect functional condition, and classic casing, Superb quality piece. For sale is a very nice LATE 19TH CENTURY SILVER CASED EXTENDING PROPELLING PENCIL AND DIP PEN NIB HOLDER.

Condition Report: Stunning overall condition for its age and type, you will never find a better example with such beautiful patina. There are light surface marks, very little signs of use. I can see no evidence of alteration or repair. I have left the item uncleaned as I have found it. It would polish up to a bright shine if you wanted to. It does have the original pen nib fitted and spares. The pencil slide system and is in great condition as is the slide pen mechanism. This is as good as it get folks, one for the serious collector. This is the pinnacle of dip pens and pencils.
