This Bargello Pomegranate Cushion Kit in an Amber Palette includes enough Appletons wool to complete the design, a 50cm square of Zweigart Mono Canvas 14 hpi, a 48cm square of upholstery weight Cotswold Velvet backing (amber/ colour), 2 John James needles (1 tapestry size 20, 1 sewing) 12 glass headed pins, full colour instructions, cotton thread for finishing.
The kit is presented in an organza bag where you can safely keep all your wools while you are working on your project. The finished piece measures approximately 16" x 16" or 40cm x 40cm and is designed for a cushion pad of that size.
Unlike most other tapestry kits, the canvas is not printed as the design is produced by creating geometric shapes through counting the stitches. This is explained in the colour instruction booklet included. Only one stitch is used throughout the project, a Florentine or a Long Stitch, which means it is a fun and impressive kit which can be tackled by someone who has never made a tapestry cushion before.
