Striking figurine of a British Army captain of the 18th Hussars cavalry regiment. Manufactured by Capodimonte Naples and designed by Bruni Merli.
The officer stands on a gold plinth bearing the Royal Coat of Arms and motto 'Dieu et mon Droit', and the date 1815.
Impressed with the Merli signature to the back. Blue Naples mark to the base.
Dates to 1950s.
Approximate Size: 12¼" tall.
Condition: In very good vintage condition. No chips, cracks or repairs. No obvious wear to the paint.
