Guitar strap not included

Up for sale, a 2001 Ibanez Artstar AS200 in really good condition, all original and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. Crafted at the venerable Fujigen factory in Japan, this AS200 boasts a notably rare Violin sunburst gloss finish over the figured flame maple body.

Loaded with a pair of Ibanez's Super 58 humbuckers, these vintage-style humbuckers channel the warmth and articulation of the semi-hollow body. The bridge pickup has great midrange growl and authority, while the neck pickup is coupled to a three-way Tri-Sound switch for coil tap functionality. In humbucker mode, the neck pickup is fat and clear with a sweetness ideal for lead work, and via the Tri-Sound switch, two coil tap options have plenty of spank and sparkle. The guitar weighs 8lbs 5oz, 3.8kg.

The three-piece neck has two pieces of mahogany framing a maple central third, with a slender C-shaped carve that has just enough roundness in the shoulders, measuring .815" deep at the 1st fret and .905" at the 12th. The bound ebony fingerboard has pearl block inlay bisected by abalone trapezoids, and the medium jumbo frets have their full factory height and plenty of meat, showing virtually no wear. The guitar plays easily up the 24 3/4" scale with a straight neck and responsive, optimally adjusted truss rod. The bone nut measures a full 1 11/16" in width (43mm), and the headstock features brand new Gotoh tuners, the original will be included in the sale.

The electronics function well for the age, with dedicated Volume and Tone knobs for each humbucker with a three-way pickup selector switch and Tri-Sound mini toggle to coil tap the neck position humbucker. Plastics include the pickguard and quartet of Sure Grip II speed knobs, and hardware comprises the Gibraltar II bridge and Quik Change II tailpiece, with discolored gold plating and surface patina.

There are some cosmetic wear. Please check the pictures, I did highlights the scuffs and hardware discoloration.

The original black tolex hardshell case with Ibanez badge on the exterior is included, along with the original factory leaflet.
