I am no expert on furniture, I know this is at least Victorian but could so easily be earlier, Georgian?

This chair has been in the family for the last 70 years but when I look at it the seat has a definite 'handmade' feel to it rather than mass produced. The seat with a definite warp, the line around the edge of the seat is also distinctly wavy. The turning on the legs also appears slightly different on each leg and looks, to me, as though they have been turned by hand. Hence my thought that it could be an earlier chair

Condition is as per the photos, over painted a number of times but not in my memory. Must have been used when decorating as has odd paint splashes. A number of chips and marks all over but all the legs and back are all surprising solid, a  slight wobble, so one leg slightly shorter than the other, but otherwise no movement at all.

Authentic Shabby Chic or great simple restoration project - Chair is approx. 85 cm tall to the top of the back and the seat 40 cm in diameter

Collection only but happy to bubble wrap etc if you want to send your courier to Llanelli area
