A bit about me: I'm an established artist and illustrator  (including Eleanor Nesbitt's Mango the Marmalade Cat series) and I've been painting for over 27 years and have sold over 1300 paintings - most of those in the last few years.  I've had several solo shows and work shown in many galleries including the Mall Galleries in Piccadilly. Today I especially love selling online because it's so personal and direct and as I paint every day it clears space in my studio and keeps my work flowing. It also means that my work is in homes all over the UK and around the world, and it provides such a wonderful opportunity to buy original paintings at great prices to keep and enjoy or to give as unique presents. I especially like the way it bypasses the pomp and hype and sometimes astronomical prices of the conventional art market. I believe in real paint and original paintings for everyone!

You'll see from my listings that I'm very eclectic. I completely follow my heart so can't be categorised in a particular style as I love working in different ways and painting different things. (But I'm nevertheless told that my paintings are 'very Jenny Hare' and instantly recognisable and they are increasingly collectible.) In general I guess I'm a colourist expressionist impressionist!

Mostly I paint hills, wild meadows, gardens, forests and the coast and of course the animals I love. For me, painting is all about beauty, colour, the spirit of the animals and nature, and the joy of life and love. When someone else loves a painting it's especially wonderful.
