Written in German by L. Muhlbach (Luise Muhlbach) and translated to English in the 1800s. Original copyright for both books is 1867 by D. Appleton and Company, an American publisher started in 1831 in Boston. These are reprints from The Werner Company, Akron, Ohio with a copyright of 1908. Appears to be from a set of historical novels written by Muhlbach.
