This is a very rare late 1800's sofa from Paine Furniture Company of Boston. I have not been able to find another like it in existence anymore. It is quite stately and would be worth several thousand when re-upholstered. This is the kind of piece that could be in The White House. I have been told that it is hand carved Mahogany and it was last re-upholstered in the 1950's. It does need to be redone again and one of the arms is loose but can easily be fixed glued and screwed when redone. It has been stored for the last few decades. I don't have the time to deal with it, so my loss is your gain.
