PLEASE SCROLL DOWN FOR FURTHER IMAGES

Meccano Magazine was a classic magazine for boys that ran for decades and covered not only Meccano model making but also had a wide variety of other non-fiction articles. Aside from Meccano-related articles, it also featured Hornby trains, Dinky Toys and other products made by Meccano, plus a wide variety of general interest articles, including engineering, aircraft, trains, modelling, camping, photography and philately. Additionally, the adverts are wonderful!

In this issue:
  • Cover Picture - Rails on the Mountains
  • Acorn Bank, Northumberland - Britain’s Deepest Opencast Coal Mine
  • New Shapes in the Sky - Handley Page Victor, Nord Griffon, de Lackner Aerocycle
  • Tramway in a Glen - Shipley Glen Tramway, Yorkshire
  • Secrets of Stonehenge
  • Swiss Mountain Railways - Gotthard line
  • Venezuela’s Powerful New Destroyer - ARV Aragua
  • The Biggest Thing on Feet - African Elephants
  • Speedwalk and Carveyor - Automation in Transport - Passenger Conveyor

The magazine measures 20.5 x 14 cm and has pages 521 - 578, plus additional advertising pages

Condition: Good vintage condition - there is evidence of light reading wear with some creasing to the covers and internal pages, date stamped on the back cover - visible in the pictures below. The magazine pictured below is the one you will receive. Given that the magazine is celebrating its 70th birthday, its condition is very good, but certainly not perfect!

I accept returns, and if you'd like to see further pictures, or any questions - just ask!
