RESTORED BEAUTY...Victorian Antique Child’s Dresser/Chest of Drawers
Circa 1875-1895
This was a barn find that needed meticulous restoration! It was sadly neglected but I knew it was a winner!
Restored from top to bottom as needed
I have left lots of character beauty marks in place in keeping with it’s history
***the face of the top drawer does not seat exactly flush inside the chest**, I notice it but most people would not even notice it unless I pointed it out!
Reeded trim below bottom drawer is a replacement
I restored the finish all by hand with my favorite choice of old school hand rubbed varnish to protect the walnut & showcase its amazing beauty!!
Very Rare & Unique
Charming child’s size chest of drawers
Drawer fronts & upper corner posts are lovely burled walnut veneers…
Carved trim on corner posts adds nice detail
Solid American Black Walnut walnut throughout, secondary wood is Poplar
The walnut looks rich & stunning! The top is spectacular especially when in the direct sunlight!!
The bronze knobs are antique but not original, I love the detail in the casting
Perfect as a nightstand, end table or a conversation piece any where you decide to show it!!
All the best, Bryan
