This unique 100 plus year-old clock shelf is from a lake cabin estate in NW Wisconsin near Balsam Lake. This was a generational property where the old cabin was being torn down to make room for new construction. Several generations of heirs could not remember when this shelf did not hang on the walls in this old building. This shelf appears to be constructed from darker wood, maybe walnut. There is a number stamped on back which indicates it may have been made by a clock manufacture. Looking it over it is obvious there are a few repairs made over the last century, none that takes away from this beautiful shelf. Photos shows a small ding in shelf support, photo 19 show a small sliver of missing on wall side of shelf, this leaves a gap of about 1/8" by couple inches and is not noticeable when shelf is hung, and the right antler may have been (replaced) recarved, not real sure (wood seems slightly darker). None of these takes away from the beauty of this shelf. The shelf measures 15" across the top, 15" top to bottom, top shelf measurement 6" at deepest point, where it curves in is 5 1/4" and weighs 2 lb. The stags head measures 10 1/2" top to bottom including antlers. Please check photos as they are a large part of description. Any questions please contact me. Thanks for taking a look.
