This is a reproduction of HP Firmware Upgrade Kit 08753-60185. The kit includes all of the components you'll need to upgrade your 8753D series VNA to firmware version 6.14. This is the latest firmware supported by the original CPU board in the 8753D. The new firmware enables several new features, including the ability to save s2p files.

Important notes: 

You must be comfortable servicing test equipment in order to perform the upgrade. ESD precautions must be followed. In some cases, capacitor C7 in the preregulator assembly must be replaced in order to restore video after performing the update. This capacitor is included in the upgrade kit, but the installation is quite involved and requires significant disassembly of the VNA and preregulator and potential exposure to hazardous voltages.

If you are upgrading from firmware version 5.30 or higher, recalibration of the VNA is not required.

If you are upgrading from any firmware version lower than revision 5.30 (for example 5.24), then partial adjustment/recalibration is required! Instructions are included in the installation notes. A supported RF power meter, cables, and other test equipment is required to make the adjustments.

The FW 6.14 EPROMs may work with other HP / Agilent VNA models but it is the responsibility of the buyer to determine compatibility.
