Rupert Annual 1949 SIGNED by A E Bestall. He has dated his signature 15th September 1984 which he did when signing books other than in their year of publication. Bestall had very few signing sessions so normally just signed for friends and neighbours. He did meet with Rupert fans in Retford, Nottinghamshire around that time so this book is probably from that occasion. A beautifully bold and clean signature.

The book itself has no inscription and is not price clipped. It is housed in a plastic jacket which results in the distortion of some cover images. The front cover has a vertical crease - see picture - no doubt done when the book was placed in the protective jacket.

This crease does not affect any of the rest of the book. A sound VG example, tightly bound with clean contents.
