This colorful and intricately designed Marigold Carnival Glass bowl in the Curved Star pattern, made by Brockwitz Glass of Ottendorf, Germany in the 1920’s-1930’s measures 4 7/8” tall, 5 5/8” in diameter at the lip, 3 ½” in diameter at the base and weighs 1 pound, 7 ounces. Brockwitz Glass’s factory was located in the city of Ottendorf near Dresden in 1903. The Carnival glass became popular in the late 1920’s into the 1930’s with the Marigold color being highly desired. The company closed in 1941, during World War 2 and much of the glass items were destroyed. Brockwitz glass is extremely rare and this piece is stunning in its’ design.
