Meccano Magazine was a classic magazine for boys that ran for decades and covered not only Meccano model making but also had a wide variety of other non-fiction articles. Aside from Meccano-related articles, it also featured Hornby trains, Dinky Toys and other products made by Meccano, plus a wide variety of general interest articles, including engineering, aircraft, trains, modelling, camping, photography and philately. Additionally, the adverts are wonderful!

In this issue:
  • Cover Picture - The Matterhorn
  • The Mighty Matterhorn
  • Ceremonial of the Sea by Morrys Rodney
  • Dunfermline’s New Locomotive Depot
  • Across America by Greyhound Bus - Part 1: from Frisco to Arizona
  • Flying at Ground Level - Link Trainer, Redifon Flight Simulator, Sanders Teacher, Curtiss Wright dehmel Electronic Flight Simulators
  • BR Wagons with Air-Operated Doors
  • A New Zealand Wonderland - Geysers, steaming pools, boiling mud

The magazine measures 20.5 x 14 cm and has pages 193 - 240, plus additional advertising pages

Condition: Good vintage condition - there is evidence of light reading wear with some creasing to the covers and internal pages, a child’s name and date is both written and printed on the back cover - visible in the pictures below. The magazine pictured below is the one you will receive. Given that the magazine is celebrating its 70th birthday, its condition is very good, but certainly not perfect!

I accept returns, and if you'd like to see further pictures, or any questions - just ask!
