Here is a beautiful copy of a well-written book about one of the historic hotels of New York City and by far it’s most interesting and storied. This is Inside The Dream Palace subtitled The Life And Times Of New York’s Legendary Chelsea Hotel by Sherill Tippins. This hotel has seen it all but it’s most famous era was the 1950’’s and 1960’s when artists, authors and world renowned musicians called it home, some still to this day. This is a first edition first printing as shown on the copyright page published by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt in 2013. This copy is excellent in condition. The binding is square and tight and immaculate throughout. The red boards are spotless and the grey cloth spine and silver gilt lettering are bright and beautiful as shown. Both spine ends have very light wear and only one of the four corners has the slightest of wear. This book is illustrated with two sections of the photographs of the hotel’s history and some of it’s more famous residents such as Janis Joplin, Leonard Cohen, William Burroughs, Andy Warhol, and Bob Dylan. To this day, Patti Smith keeps her home here. The dust jacket is complete and has the original price present on the front flap also as shown in the photos provided. The jacket spine ends have very light wrinkling and the four corners of the jacket have light wear but nothing overwhelming. This beautiful copy will make a wonderful addition to any collection or library. Please see all pics and ask any questions you may have and as always I never list ex library or book club editions so buy with confidence. And please check out my 100% positive seller feedback!!! Thanks for looking.
