First Men in Moon Cavorite Sphere Spaceship -
Rare Resin Model Harryhausen Sci-fi

Here's a seldom seen resin model of the gravity-defying Cavorite Sphere, the Victorian spacecraft which enabled Earthlings to become the "First Men in the Moon."

Produced over 20 years by Monster in Motion, the Cavorite Sphere model saw an extremely limited production, possibly because of the kit's elaborate production of many various parts. This one’s complete, untouched and unbuilt, with smaller parts still polybagged, and packed in its original full color box.

If you’re up for the challenge, this amazing model creates a film accurate replica of the infamous Space Sphere, complete with a fully detailed interior, clear windows, a Moon Explorer figure, and lunar landscape display base.

Primary kit parts are slickly pressure cast in light blue resin, with pink plastic plugs, blue-clear circular window panes, clear dial gauges, detailing cord, illustrated instruction booklet, and a color photograph of the completed model.

Once assembled, the Cavorite sphere itself measures approx. 7” in diameter, with the display base measuring 9 ½” wide x 8 ½” deep. The Moon Man figure stands 3” tall.

Long lost in space and time, this incredible piece of Victorian Sci-fi hardware has surfaced once more. Doesn’t it belong in your collection of classics?

Please note that this is an original garage kit, not a recast. Sassy's Satellite caters to the true kit collectors worldwide, always offering only original garage kits, never recast kits, whether unbuilt models or professionally assembled & finished items. We are ethically opposed to recasting within the hobby and only deal in authentic original garage kits.
