Here is a lovely vintage Selmer Treble & Bass 50 Mk 2 amplifier. Bought new in 1965 to replace a stolen Bassmaster head it was used solely for bass in a semi-pro band till 1971. After that it was used for guitar, (but never pushed too hard) till 1985, when it was semi-retired. Since then it has been used only for occasional gigs, and hardly at all in the last 10 years. It is now time to pass it on to someone who may make good use of it.
The amp is working well and in pretty good condition considering it's age, just the typical scuffs you would expect.
It has only ever been handled by it's owner and never by Roadies! It makes a great sound and can be loud. I would have no hesitation in taking it to a gig tonight, if I had a gig. Early in it's life the amp was inverted to improve cooling and prevent the heat from the valves damaging the circuit. So it is now actually the 'right' way up. The front and rear wood panels (included) were also replaced with expanded metal and a male 3-pin plug fitted which fits a standard 'kettle' lead. I have fitted the quietist valves from my stock, the EL34 output valves are Mullard and have had little use. I would also include all my spare valves with the amp.
This amplifier is offered 'as it is' and without warrantly.
