Front sight adjustment tool.
Designed to adjust
the front sight on the Mosin-Nagant rifles and carbines. Manufactured
at the 'Caliber' plant in Moscow in 1946. The plant specialized on
production of the special accurate tools to repair the small arms.
Made
of the blued steel. Used to accurately adjust the sniper rifles. It is
not a hand-made piece of iron with two screws or a cheap Chinese replica
made of aluminum but an original professional tool that was used at the
military workshops to sight Mosin-Nagant rifles.
This
clever U-shaped device fits under the barrel of the rifle and cradles
the sights. Has a fine thread screw for a precision zero that is long
enough to push the sight all the way off of the dovetail. Just flip the
tool around to go the other direction. The screw has an index line. The
end of the T-handle fits into the elevation post and provides plenty of
leverage to easily move even a stubborn post. Speeds up the whole
process of sighting in your rifle.
An essential tool to make fine
adjustments to the front sight of your Mosin-Nagant rifle. The tool is
from a warehouse. Brand new condition. It has never been used before.
