Wet Plate Collodion 5x7 Black Tank w/ Insert and Dipper
For your consideration: This is a new handmade Wet Plate Collodion 5x7 tank with insert and dipper. The tank can be used for developing or fixing your plates after exposure. The insert is made of Lexan (Acrylic) and will hold up to the chemicals used in wet plate photography. The insert holds approximately 550ml of chemicals, and is removable for cleaning. The dipper is used to agitate and hold the glass plate during processing. The outer tank is made of pine and painted with black oil based paint. The inside of the wood tank is coated with boiled linseed oil to help protect it. The lid is double hinged and has a draw catch on the front to keep the lid secure while your plates are being processed. The tank can be inclined back; a hinged bracket holds the tank secure. The tank is handmade in America. Because the tank is not assembly-line produced, no two are alike.
