A collection of three articles that were published in magazines before the last war. They deal with the (then) new C T & S Tavistock Theodolite. The first gives a full explanation of the 45° Astrolabe that C T & S had produced to match the French 60° instrument.The other two give a full technical explanation of the Tavistock Theodolite itself. None are operating handbooks, though if you had a Tavistock they do explain all the points (and more) that this then revolutionary instrument contained. Makes very interesting reading if you are at all interested in the history and development of optical surveying instruments. A5 Black and White, 41 pages with many illustrations.
