In original blue-green and black mottled cloth boards with silver lettering and decoration. In original first-state dust jacket with correct $5.75 price on front flap. 341 pages.

Herzog is a 1964 novel by Saul Bellow, composed in part of letters from the protagonist Moses E. Herzog. It won the U.S. National Book Award for Fiction and the Prix International. In 2005, Time magazine named it one of the 100 best novels in the English language since Time's founding in 1923.

Saul Bellow (born Solomon Bellows; June 10, 1915 – April 5, 2005) was a Canadian–American writer. For his literary work, Bellow was awarded the Pulitzer Prize, the 1976 Nobel Prize in Literature, and the National Medal of Arts. He is the only writer to win the National Book Award for Fiction three times, and he received the National Book Foundation's lifetime Medal for Distinguished Contribution to American Letters in 1990.

CONDITION: NF/VG

The book is in NEAR FINE condition. Square spine with firm hinges and joints and tight pages. Light rubbing to spine tips a light blue stain and some fading/dust to the top stain else FINE. Interior is clean with creamy white pages and no writing or wear.

The dust jacket is in VERY GOOD condition -unclipped, colorful and complete. Rubbing, some surface paper loss on the spine. Edge wear creasing, chipping and a few small tears. Blind side with book offsetting. Some light dust soiling.
