Problems with the audio connection and configuration. Here are some suggestions on how you can try to resolve this issue:

CHECK THE OPTICAL CONNECTION: Ensure that the optical fibre is connected properly. Check that the connection is strong and not loose, and also check that the fibre itself is not damaged.

Confirm audio settings: On Google TV, make sure your audio output settings are correct. Check that the correct audio output mode is selected, e.g. 5.1 digital audio.

Check the audio splitter: Make sure the optical audio splitter can support 5.1 digital audio. Sometimes, some devices may only support certain audio formats or channels.

Try another optical cable: If possible, try using another optical cable. Sometimes a damaged cable can cause signal transmission problems.

Update device firmware: Check if the firmware of your Google TV and audio splitter is the latest version. Updating the firmware may resolve compatibility issues.

Check power and batteries: Make sure all devices have adequate power. If using batteries, make sure they have enough power.

Check Apple TV Settings: If you are switching to Apple TV, make sure you have selected the correct output in the Apple TV's audio settings.

Try other input/output ports: If the 3.5mm port doesn't work, try connecting to other available audio ports to make sure there are no problems with the port itself.

Check the audio format: Make sure your audio source (e.g. film, video) actually contains 5.1 digital audio. Sometimes the content itself may just be 3.1 channels.
