Offered for sale is a 17-volume set of the works of Francis Parkman, American historian.  This Frontenac Edition was published 1899-1902 by Little, Brown and Company in Boston.  The original blue buckram covers are in good condition except for one with water staining as shown in the photos.  The pages inside appear to be clean and stain free.  Each volume has one or two spare paper spine labels mounted in the back pages.  The top edges of each volume are gilded.  Total shelf width is 25.5".  Each volume has a couple of illustrations, and the inside covers are stamped "Presented to Alameda Community Library by Kenton Meads 1960".
