Turntable platter spins holds the speed the counterweight is there it's missing a head shell the tone arm has to be readjusted or put back into place I don't know how to do that but I'm selling this for parts at this point it's not functioning until that tonearm is resolved and it will need a headshell and it will need a cartridge so buyer beware you're buying this to either fix an existing Sony turntable that you have or restoring this to its luster that it once was
