Peavey Rockingham Original Made in Korea by Peerless

My Journey to Rockingham.

So around 2012 I see a Rockingham Jazz guitar for sale in Rockingham Village Northamptonshire! No joke. Turns out Peavey UK are close to there and the name Rockingham far from being inspired by 'Rockabilly' is inspired by Rockingham Village/Castle.

After having it for a while I sold it to my amp tech as he was a great guy and helped me out a lot. But boy did I regret selling that guitar

About a year later I bought another one and was very disappointed. It was not a patch on the originally. It was a  Chinese version and I quickly got rid of it. The Chinese versions do not have the Peavey logo on the headstock. I think the body depth is slightly less and generally they just don't compare. Very hard to say why? Maybe the quality of woods used? I noticed the knobs were also a bit misaligned.

Eventually I acquired another Korean Peerless made Rockingham and It was everything I expected it to be and more. I could not believe how good the neck was, how playable, how perfect the neck was. It was a neck you would expect to find on a very high priced guitar. The rest of the guitar was just better also. Why? Perhaps quality of wood used.

Time moves on.I now have a collection of Eastman guitars and I have just bought another one.. It time to finally let the Rockingham go.

The neck is still perhaps the best neck I have ever played, I believe the guitar its based on a Gretsch G6120. But its a 25.5 inch (Fender) scale length. There are not many Jazz guitars that have 25,5 scale lengths. Gibsons L5 has a 25.5 inch scale.

The guitar is used with signs of use.. but as you can see its pretty much perfect and as for the neck/fretboard/frets.. well its astonishing how good it is.

No case, but will be very well packed..or you can collect. See my feedback.
