An ideal storage box / chest small enough to have on display for small keep sakes etc
The quality construction & the lid opening the way it does makes me think it's a 1940's ammunition box although any marks that might exist have been painted over
It's been used most recently as a tool box which is why it has been painted brown I think was green to start with
There are marks on the lid round stain mark, scratches, small dents etc
It could be stripped back but I think this was detract from it's story & character
You might like to give it a more thorough clean inside depending on what you wanted to keep in it
Measures approx 15.5" wide (left to right) by 10 3/4" deep (front to back) by 7 1/4" high
The lid opening aperture is 7"
