This beautiful little  paperback ABC booklet is written in French and published by Imagerie d'Epinal, a company based in Epinal in northeastern France, which was founded in 1796 and published inexpensive  colored prints. They were very successful throughout the 19th century, and continued on after that, with less success and several changes of ownership. In 2014, new owners  turned part of the old headquarters into a museum, reissued prints, and used the huge stock of images to make clothing and home decor items. I found similar ABC books published in the late 19th century - this one has no publication dates, but the colors and toing of the paper suggest that it's likely late 19th or early 20th century.  The booklet  uses domestic animals for the alphabet. Brief paragraphs about each animal  and an additional story make it a reader as well, and there are several pages sounding out the letters. The booklet has 12 pages and measures 5 1/4 by 7 7/8 inches. The cover is slightly faded and the pages lightly toned. The color illustrations are charming.
