Even though the hard drive tested ok. It's as if the "basic default drivers" in the Windows install pack are somehow incompatible with this laptop, even though it runs Windows 7 fine, There may be another explanation. Linux Mint O/S was installed *** in this laptop ***, from its DVD onto a second 500Gb hard drive [not included], you can buy this as an additional Ebay purchase as a back-up. See our advert. Though slower to load at laptop start up, web-browsing in Chrome was faster in Linux Mint.. See pics for the additional hard drive which is not included in the basic price. Last 4 pics show this running Linux Mint Note that the item you're looking at includes "Samsung Recovery Solution" factory reset option within Windows 7, See pic 4. Returnable for full refund if significantly not as described. The ability to re-install or load another Windows version is NOT GUARANTEED.
