Lake County, Indiana, a highly industrialized and densely populated section of Lake Michigan's shoreline, represents some of the most convenient suburban communities and satellite and hard working cities for in Chicagoland area. Gary is home to a 3rd international airport for Chicagoland and has extraordinarily easy access. Its still a growing industrial giant, and an urban center in its own right. Many work locally and other residents commute 20 minutes to Chicago for mass employment opportunities and top-flight universities. The 3 major cities on the lake are known as a gambling mecca. Hammond's Horseshoe Casino is seen as the crown jewel of all. Access Lake County via the free 80/94 expressway coming from Chicago or I-65 coming from the south.
