THIS LENS IS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDS TO BE REPAIRED OR USED FOR PARTS! Rubbing and noise when zooming out to 24mm between 24-28mm, does not affect the ability to take photos with lens, but this issue will need to be fixed sometime in the future.
